These are some perks given to Google employees: game room, free restaurants, free fitness center, car washes, pool tables in your office, lap pools for exercise, massages and free doctors.
ReplyDeleteFor its employee benefits program Google gets in return employees with tremendous job loyalty and productivity.
I'm not sure if there is any drawback in this kind of Human Resources management policy, but maybe the employees need to be working in the company for too long and don't have time to spend with their families.
Some of the things Google has done to their employees can be done in my place of work. We already have free doctors, cheap food and cheap fitness center. But we could have, for example, free massage or a lap pool for exercises. It is viable and would be great. But we definitely couldn't be able to work with casual clothes or to take our pets to the office because it's a Court of Justice.
I guess I would like to work on Google, but only if it was in Brazil and if I had enough time to spend with my family, which I consider indispensable.
Google offers to their employees some perks that are very surprising, like taking their pets to work, pool tables, good food, kitchens around the campus, laundry and gym, among other free facilities. I think there are a lot of benefits that the company gets in return, like the employees’s passion for the job and for the company. They can also be more productive and creative when they can take a break to sleep or to play. All the casual atmosphere provides them a different energy to do a great job. But maybe there are some disadvantages too, especially if the perks run without a good control.
ReplyDeleteIf my place of work had some of these benefits, like gym or playrooms, it would be great to take a break sometimes. But we have a lot of work to do during the day, so, unfortunately, we probably would not have time to enjoy them. Besides, people can exaggerate and lose the professionalism that every company must have. But it’s important to remember that the perks that are given to employees depends on the kind of company they’re working for. Some companies require jobs that don’t fit in this kind of environment, like hospitals and government places.

ReplyDeleteI think ia a path, not something to do in the sAme way in all companies. Google works with TI innovation. It requires creative and very focused people. People worried about time for laundry, cars, pets, volleyball, massage and other day by day things couldn't be focused in innovation. So, Google make their days and they make the company profits and their own, with happiness.
Very good reflections, folks! You see, it would be wonderful to work at a place like googleplex, but there may be some drawbacks, too. Of course you don't have to worry about being stressed out or about the laundry to be done, but this kind of workplace could end up increasing the number of hours you work. After all, we don't want our workplace to be like a second house to us, do we? (I can hear a few people saying yes, but that's ok) Sometimes we spend more time at work than at home, but there's no place like home.
ReplyDeleteThese are some perks given to Google employees: laundry, fitness center, game room, food, barber shop, car washers, pool table, massages and to much fun.
ReplyDeleteFor its employee benefits program, Google gets in return to become a mega company and be one of best place to work.
I can think in drawbacks in this kind of humam resources management policy: employees need to spend a long time in the company and they can become accustomed in always having somebody to do things for them that they are supposed to do. Initiative for the company and lack of initiative in their lives.
I do like my place of work, but I think there would have free doctors and a little more fun. I think it is viable because the company can pay for it.
I think it would be very nice to work for Google, but it is not a dream. I agree with Fleury's opinion, when he said that "we don't want our workplace to be like a second house to us".
There are some of the perks given to the google employees: free restaurants, free fitness center, laundry, they can take their pets with them to work, game room, massage and they also have their cars washed while They're working. The employees return to google, hard work, and they do almost everything for the firm with hapiness. I believe that would be wonderful to work there, because you feel motivated to do your work. I also believe that if all the companies should do that, because people work better when they feel good where they work, and also they don't need to go outside the firm to do what they have to do, so they'd spend more time working and without feeling bad for do it.
